Time to size up the fashion we saw on the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards red carpet.
IT’S well known that at the MTV VMAs anything goes – making this the most exciting red carpet of all the awards ceremonies. The stars came in droves for the annual event, but while some totally nailed it, others, um…well, others missed the mark.
So let’s start with the good stuff, shall we? The best dressed. First up, one word: Beyoncé. The woman of the night arrived looking fantastic in a black lace gown by designer Nicolas Jebran. We’d say it was a perfect.
Also scoring high marks was Jennifer Lopez and Iggy Azalea, who both opted for metallic numbers. Iggy chose a body-hugging Versace gown while J.Lo looked every bit the part of a diva in a shimmering Charbel Zoe number.
Demi Lovato blew us away with that red hot number of hers! A thigh high slit and super low neckline equals an A+ in our book!
We also thought Solange Knowles pulled off one of the best pantsuits of the night. We loved her glittering tuxedo-style getup by H&M Studio Collection, and she gets bonus points for those orange lashes and blue nails.
Kim Kardashian, 33, opted to go for a whole lot of funky pattern at once in her Balmain ensemble. More boohoo than boho, the poncho-esque top revealed some massive cleavage which Kim has been rocking a lot of lately.
Not wanting to be outdone, Katy Perry and RiFF RAFF wore double denim on the double in a nod to Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake’s 2001 American Music Awards fashion disaster.
Meanwhile, all eyes were also on Amber Rose, wife of Wiz Khalifa and ex-girlfriend of Kanye West who turned up in this head-turning, body-baring getup by Laura Dewitt.
